After you have configured your DNS settings in your domain registrar, it's important to verify if the entries are populated correctly. In this article, we will show you how to verify whether the DNS is working.
Enginemailer uses MxToolbox API to run the lookups, which is equivalent to the SuperTools in MxToolbox. Hence, we recommend you to run the lookup if your domain still unverified after few days.
To run the DNS lookups using MxToolbox
- Go to SuperTools
- Type in your domain name and click on the arrow dropdown next to the MX Lookup button. Then choose TXT lookup.
- If your TXT record is entered correctly, your value will be similar as below.
- If you notice you have more than one SPF records, it is recommend to combine all into one single record. As having multiple SPF records will increase the chances that your campaign go to SPAM.
- For CNAME records, you can check by simply pasting the whole hostname value in portal.enginemailer.com into the input. For this case, it is s1._domainkey.larilari.com. Then click on the dropdown next to the button and choose CNAME lookup.
